Wellkept

Free to download. Safety is never behind a paywall.

Knowing whether your water is safe should not cost anything, so it doesn't. Logging results, getting a plain-English verdict, and being reminded before a test is due are free permanently. The paid unlocks are for record-keeping and convenience — and they are one-time purchases, not a subscription.

Why it's priced this way

No subscription. A well is a thirty-year commitment and your records should outlive any monthly plan. You buy it once and it keeps working — including years from now, on a phone you haven't bought yet.

Safety stays free. Logging a result and being told whether it is within legal limits costs nothing and always will. Charging someone to find out whether their water is dangerous would be indefensible.

No account, no cloud, nothing to sell. Your records never leave your phone, which means there is no data to monetise even if we wanted to. The purchase is the business model. That's the whole thing.

One lab test costs $150 or more. Homestead is a fraction of a single test, once, for keeping every test you will ever take.

Common questions

Is there a subscription?

No. Every unlock is a one-time purchase with no renewal and no recurring charge.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts and no cloud — nothing to sign up for, no password to forget, and no server holding your records.

What happens when I change phones?

Use the built-in backup to save a file, then restore it on the new phone. Restoring is always free, and paid unlocks come back with the Restore Purchases button.

Is the free version limited by time?

No. It is not a trial. The free features stay free permanently.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iOS first — Android is planned.
